Climate
Paris features a temperate climate and lies in northern France, around 193 km / 120 miles from the coastline and English Channel. Average temperature in November varies from 6 to 10°C (43 to 51°F). Currency
The currency in France is the Euro (€, EUR), which is used in almost all countries within the European Union. No other currencies are commonly accepted, so you will have to change your money to euros. Money can be changed at the main train stations, international airports, major banks, exchange bureaus, most large hotels and the post office. All major credit cards are accepted in most hotels, restaurants and shops.
Electricity
Electricity in France is 220 V, alternating at 50 Hz. Hotels may have a 110 or 120 V outlet for shavers, but otherwise you will need a voltage converter.
Getting around
Paris is comprised of some 20 arrondissements (or districts) that spiral clockwise out from the city's center and are important locators. Residents of the European Union do not require any Visa to visit France. Residents from other foreign countries may need to apply for an entry visa in order to visit France. Please check the current VISA requirements with the nearest French Consulate or Embassy in your country before your departure to France.
